Foods of Different Festivals

                                 
     There are many festivals that are celebrated in our country. Definitely, every festival will have their own special delicacies that will be prepared during the celebration. The same goes for one of the festivals that I celebrate annually, which is the Chinese New Year. 

     Let me share one of my favourite food during this festival, which is the Chinese rice cake, commonly known as 'Nian Gao' in Chinese, or it carries the meaning of 'New Year Cake' in English. It is a must-eat treat in any Chinese New Year celebration. There are many ways where the rice cake can be prepared and transformed into a delicious dish. However, I specially like to eat it in the way where the 'Nian Gao' is sliced into pieces, dipped into egg and pan-fried. It's a simple way of cooking it but it's really delicious to eat every mouthful of this sticky sweet snack 😆. Not only it is tasty but its texture is also marvelous. I like to eat it hot as it is specially chewy, tacky and soft at that time, with brown sugary strings that pull from your mouth when you take a bite. Trust me, it's really a mouth-watering snack that is worth trying especially for those who have sweet tooth. 
    
     Eating 'Nian Gao' is part of the Chinese tradition where people believe that it represents a wish to be successful and having prosperity year after year. Nowadays, you can find a lot of 'Nian Gao' variations from different regions and they are even sold at certain stalls out there even during normal time. Now it's your turn to share yours.   1. We all love to eat tasty and delicious food. There are so many varieties of food available at the festival. My favorite food in festivals definitely spaghetti and meatballs. It is because it is fun to eat. For example, spaghetti and meatballs makes me feel like kid because I can twirl it on my fork, slurp it quickly and play with the sauce. Next, there is nothing better than spaghetti and meatballs when I need a quick, simple meal. Most of all, spaghetti and meatballs is great because it make a mouth-watering meal. Lastly, spaghetti and meatballs is definitely the best meal.

    Let me share one of my favourite food during this festival, which is Adhirasam. Adhirasam is a type of Indian sweet from Tamil cuisine. The doughnut-like pastry has a long history of popularity in Kannada, Telugu, Maharashtra, Orissa and Tamil civilization. It is popular as an offering to the relatives during Deepavali festival, both at home and in temples .
    The sweet was made from it’s flour which is sell from Indian shops. The authentic preparation takes a day if there was a lot of family members willing to help. If you want to try the tradisional way of making it, it will take about a week to prepare it. When the Adhirasam is done, you can smell the aroma from afar which is from kitchen to living room.
    But when you eat the Adhirasam, it is so delicacies/delicious until you will feel you want to eat more. it's really a mouth-watering snack that is worth trying especially for those who have sweet tooth. One more thing, people can eat Adhirasam during normal days and festival

  4. Many festivals are held in Malaysia and each festival is unique and special. A sweet tooth like me couldn't resist the sweet taste of the ice-cream biscuits prepared by my mom's friend every Deepavali. They are biscuits shaped like ice-cream and the top part of the biscuit is covered in chocolate and colourful sprinkles. The biscuits are also a mouthwatering snack to eat whenever we need a quick snack. Trust me, some of you might not stop eating this delicious biscuits when you eat one. The biscuits are not only looks very attractive but also tastes good and yummy 😋😋😋😋😋

  5. Varieties of festivals are held in Malaysia and one of them is Raya Aidilfitri. The main dish of this celebration is called Ketupat. Ketupat is rice wrapped in a diamond-shaped container of woven palm leaf pouch. Ketupat is actually bland and it is why you should them with various types of side dishes such as Rendang, Sambal Kacang, Satay, and many more. Ketupat is commonly made in large batches and eaten during festivals and holidays. Additionally, it is often served at weddings.
